Studio Legale Pino e Associati is pleased to announce that associate lawyer Guido Lachi has been elected Vice President of the Italian National Committee of the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) for the 2023-2025 term of office.
In the previous five years, Guido had already held the position of Secretary and during the 67th World Congress, held in Rome at the end of October, he was appointed by acclamation to the new position for the next two years.
In his previous role as Secretary, Guido has always strived to foster the development of relations between Committee members, to enhance dialogue with the Association’s institutions, and to make the most of the communication possibilities provided by modern technology.
The UIA is an international non-governmental organisation of legal professionals founded in 1927. It brings together more than 2200 individual members and 200 orders, federations and associations in 110 countries. The UIA aims to defend the legal profession and to foster international contacts, exchanges and cooperation between lawyers, while respecting their cultural and professional diversity. It has established 43 commissions and working groups composed of lawyers from jurisdictions around the world. Each commission examines developments in a particular area of law (or practice) and determines how these developments will affect or be affected by other areas of law.
